They didn’t discuss too many specifics of what happened on Friday other than give the timeline and that they are conducting an investigation. All we know is that RM students let in Gaithersburg students prior to lunch, and an altercation broke out. A student reported possibly seeing a gun (police are trying to confirm whether it was a gun in the picture they have), and the principal called for a lockdown. 
Lots of questions came up from parents that were left unanswered. Many people brought up metal detectors, ID badges and open lunch. 
We were told they are going to review the questions and will also be sending out a survey on Friday. [/quote]

You mean getting rid of Open Lunch?  They barely have enough space for the kids as it is.

+1 I don't think this is related to open lunch. If anything, the RM kid who let the GHS kids in that caused the issue happened in the building right before  lunch began.

I am the PP who posted the summary of the meeting. I was just listing the most commonly mentioned ideas from parents. The RM staff did not agree or disagree with any of these. There were also parents arguing against the ideas. Again this was mainly done in the chat so a lot of ideas weren’t explicitly discussed. This is why they want us to fill out the survey. [/quote]
