Aren't parties at colleges just as bad? Rush week?[/quote] Yes. Parties in college are just as bad. And campus police (aka campus rent a cops), are not a better answer than actual police. Campus security if notorious for hiding sexual assault claims. If someone is assaulted at beach week, they should report the assault to actual police that will work with the local district attorney for legal enforcement. In college, assaults should be reported to actual police - not just campus police. Parents should teach their children about excessive drinking. They could get alcohol poisoning. They could be assaulted. Having sex with intoxicated partners can be a crime. These are all lessons to be taught before college, as well. [/quote]
