I was in the 300 series. It’s a great catch all series to use when the job doesn’t appropriately fit into a more specific series. The problem is that some agencies/group abuse the position to allow a grade boost when the underlying duties would not allow that grade in the present PD. The 300 series is an easy way to take that job, sprinkle in a few extra words in the KSAs, supervision, and other areas of the PD and get a higher grade. [/quote]
