That's entirely different than what OP described. As usual, people with the most extreme experiences get triggered and post the most extreme advice.

And what’s triggering you to lie to protect an abuser? The swearing wasn’t part of the violent altercation, it had taken place in the preceding weeks, which is why people are saying it’s escalating. Why are you deliberately distorting the OPs narrative? Did you have an experience of abuse?[/quote]
