While a student committing to attend today has absolutely nothing to do with what happened, you certainly can't gloss over and forget what happened either. We're talking about an institutional cover up of child rape in the name of protecting a football program. The president of the school at the time is currently in prison. This isn't a liberal or conservative thing. Im certain that there are many conservatives who are just as disgusted with what happened as with liberals. Not a fan of cancel culrure either, but PSU made its own bed here. [/quote]
Incarcerating child rapists and their facilitators has broad bipartisan support (save when the rapist in question is a Republican elected official, of course), but "PSU would not be allowed" is absolutely a liberal thing. And telling all Penn State alumni (a million-plus?) that their most treasured institutional connection is fatally tainted because of something they didn't do and couldn't control is a great way to alienate them.[/quote]

Life is unfair. I’m sorry your treasured institutional connection was full of child rapists and apologists. Be mad at them not us. What kind of people put the good time they had in college ahead of really almost the most heinous crime there is? I had a great experience at lots of places in my life.
