It would get hold fcps accountable
 Right. Accountable for all the neediest special education children, and ESL/immigrant parents who don’t know how to get a voucher or are afraid of ICE. No it would not hold FCPS accountable, it would be a drain of money, and talent for the system. It would also take away community schools and encourage use of personal vehicles to transport children or longer bus routes for all these “private” schools. All to allow you and people like you to continue to feel superior and have a safe place to vent your anger.
It would hold FCPS accountable. The PP cares nothing about what is best for children - especially children from needy families. PP simply regurgitates deceptions from the teacher’s unions, who do not represent your children’s interests. The local unions kept immunized teachers out of schools while your kids suffered in front of screens during the pandemic. The teachers unions protect bad teachers; they nearly withheld their endorsement of Clinton over a plan to require teacher competency checks. Look, I don’t need a voucher; I can afford private for my kids. I still support vouchers, as a remedy for failing public schools. Take a closer look at who opposes vouchers: it is the unions, who are addicted to the money they coerce from members. They insist on denying needy kids any way out of the failing schools they profit from.
VA public schools have what ranking in the US? Betsey Devos model will destroy VA schools and Youngkin and her will fatten their pockets. VA voted in crap and will now dumb down it's population. The public schools are not the problem the liars like Youngkin and the Repuke party are.
Former VP Candidate Joe Lieberman supports vouchers. Is he part of this “Repuke party” you mentioned? Is he part of the “American taliban” as you put it?
Lieberman is hardly the only democrat who supports vouchers. The issue is a lot more purple than many realize.
Traditionally, vouchers have been backed by Republican lawmakers as part of a robust school choice platform. Meanwhile, teachers unions – a traditional ally of Democrats – have blasted voucher policies as undermining public education by diverting funding away from traditional public schools. “There is an interesting twist to this,” Peterson added, noting that if the word “voucher” was swapped out for “tax credit” – a similar school choice policy that allows parents to use federal or public funding to help send their children to private schools – more people are supportive of the concept, 65 percent, and that support has been relatively constant for the last few years. https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016-08-23/surprise-democrats-also-support-school-vouchers
