While I understand why others would like it, I find super-developed bodybuilder musculature a turnoff. Just...has the opposite effect on me that it seems to have on other women. Not going to diss the look since it clearly is sexy to some women, and I do like a guy who looks fit and healthy, but the hyper-defined six-packs in particular--just, nope. Someone out there tell me I'm not alone.
You're not alone. I see the appeal of both but prefer a fit, natural look.
Same. And you know the guys who have that look spend a lot of time cultivating it. So all I can think of when I see this look is a guy who spends all his time in the gym doing arm curls in front of a mirror. Not sexy at all.
I'm the "hyper-muscled look turns me off" poster who started this and I'm glad to see it's not just me! You sum it up well, PP -- there's a feeling of "Look how well I cultivated this six-pack" about it. I do appreciate the effort involved in beefing up for roles, and I'm a Marvel fan so, sure, Evans and Hemsworth look great to me, but I think that's because of the characters' humor and snark even more than the abs.
