Biopsy in 2 days. I’m 42, my first was when I was 25. Left breast had noticeable bump, turned out to be a large fibro cyst which I still have. But BC runs in my family so get routine mammograms. So….2 weeks ago, day after my mammogram, they called saying they didn’t like what they saw and to come back in, THE NEXT DAY. I’m like, that’s fine, my left breast sometimes returns shady results. The nurse was like, “your left breast is fine, it’s the right breast.

Record scratch!. “I said, you mean Tiny?” (She’s smaller that the left a bit). I’m like, okay sure yeah tell me when first available! I’ve been a BIRAD 3 before with the left. Tiny is a 4C. 1cm x 1.5 cm 8 o’clock 8 cm below nipple. Saw the images and yes, per previous posters here, before I got the radiologist’s report, my mammogram tech (she did both tests) when I said, thank you again great to see you again! And you could tell she was trying, she just replied, “yes, and sorry considering the circumstances.” Oy.

But honestly, I’m not losing my mind. Having had a core needle biopsy when I was 25, where is was TERRIFIED, now, having learned so much about breast health, I’m feeling pretty okay. It will be what it is, and there are so many treatment options if we have to go down that road. Is this whole matter on my mind though? Yes, why I’m here!
