It really should not come as a surprise to anyone that certain girls are known to be good enough to be on CLC Blue even before the tryout.  DD is a 2028 and I have spent enough time around the DMV teams to have a pretty good sense of the certain girls who will be on CLC Blue in a few years.[/quote]

I know what you mean and don’t disagree.  But there are also girls who haven’t had the chance to shine bc they are not on the right team. In response to the threads about whether winning or losing record matters, I think it does at younger grades bc people conclude that girls are better if their teams win.  This is usually a no brainer - makes sense the most skilled girls will nearly worse teams.  but sometimes not the whole picture.  I would say it hurts the best players on a bad team.  bottom line, in middle school get on a winning team to play on a good hs club.[/quote]
