If you “picked up a bagel for me,” I’d blandly smile, wash my hands, and go get a plate and pick out another one. I guess I just feel like poppyseed today! And no worries, if you “insisted” on touching food and we were at your house and you left me no choice, I’d simply push around the food on my plate, eat a granola bar on the way home, and never come to your house for meals again.
