No 6th year "seniors" such as DeMaio (he's not listed as a grad student). No grad transfers like Donville '21. Not nearly comparable. How many 25 year olds does Maryland have on their team?[/quote]
He had a redshirt year and then a year of eligibility reinstated due to COVID. Not sure what the mystery is here.

You do not know what you are talking about. There can never be a grad transfer to play at Cornell or any other Ivy League school. Nor, aside from 2022 because of a one-time COVID exception made by the Ivy League, can there be a redshirt senior at Cornell or any other Ivy school. You cannot compete in intercollegiate athletics at Ivy League schools after you graduate, even if you have not exhausted your athletic eligibility.

No, this is also incorrect. The Ivy League only allowed class of '21 students to play an additional year after graduating (assuming they had athletic eligibility left). The rule will be back in force that you cannot compete athletically after four years of enrollment. So any 4th year junior you might see on the Yale roster would have had to take a leave of absence from school during 20-21, which some did.

Why do you persist in asserting that I'm taking shots at kids and suggesting that they are cheating? Do you think Maryland has something to be embarrassed about in enrolling grad transfers and allowing 6th year seniors to play at 25 and take playing time away from younger college athletes? Your problem here is that you don’t credit a UMD’s players lost lost year due to COVID (“6th year senior”?) but you somehow think “taking a year of absence” is functionally different.

Your complaint was age. Now it’s something else and just generally a bunch of shifting excuses to attack players that play for a team that you seem to have a very specific hard on for hating on. But you do you. [/quote]
