I think it’s a couple things. People are oddly afraid of the germs of strangers, so even though it makes no epidemiological sense, these people are getting together with others indoors unmasked, having their kids unmask for a 7 hr school day, etc. but popping on a mask at Safeway even though your risk of getting covid passing a rando in the frozen foods aisle is way less than having a 10 kid sleepover party. But I also think the majority of people are not doing anything to prevent getting it and it’s honestly just really contagious. [/quote]
