Let's not create a policy based on metaphors.

NATO = Stretcher of the rubber band (Russia).
Snap back = Rubber band (Russia)

When the rubberband snaps back, it injures the holder. Who is holding the rubberband, NATO? Russia? Putin? Is the rubberband around NATO? That's backwards, because NATO surrounds Russia. [/quote]

What a perfect metaphor for Russia's own incompetent hubric agression.  They invaded Ukraine and in doing so snapped themselves with the rubber band.[/quote]

But don’t forget the  “mission accomplished” and “cake walk” statements during Iraq invasion.[/quote]
