Allowing someone to hold a different view has to be measured against being a silent bystander such that one’s silence is complicity.  It’s one thing to hold a different view, it’s another thing if your “different view” is to have racist, sexist, anti-semitic or otherwise discriminatory views or policies or views or policies based in incorrect facts.

You may be entitled to your views, but you’re not entitled to my silence or absence of consequences in the face of those views.
