While yes, there have been protests, do those represent the majority? Do polls in Russia really represent what's in people's minds if they fear how they respond could end up being used against them - i.e. can they trust the pollster? I've also read that there's a lot of divide between young Russians who consume alternative/western forms of media (at least where they are able to access) vs. older Russians who actually believe that Russian controlled media is the source of 'truth' and that other sources are propaganda.
