If he indicated that Gonzaga was his first choice and was cocky about it, you’re probably right. That rivalry is fierce and real. My kids are in HS now. At our parochial, there were the stories about admissions officers quietly telling the principal if child X would indicate that their school was the first choice and withdraw from whichever competitor they were applying to, they’d guarantee admission. All rumors, but the talk is out there. [/quote]
