I know this is repulsive to many but we don't change the sheets weekly. Maybe monthly. Maybe. So far nothing awful has happened. Also we really only do the bathrooms when company is coming over, or when it actually looks dirty. If there's that pinkish scum, it's time for a wipe. If it still looks ok, it's ok.
Hi, friend! You and I would get along in real life. Adding to your list, in our house we rarely mop. Vacuum weekly but only because of the dog hair (we should have a Roomba, but that's for another thread).
Same for us, I do sheets maybe every other week for DH and I, and will do the kids 1-2x per month. Clean bathroom if company or if gross, but otherwise, nobody is seeing it but us. We do have a dog that sheds and floors can get gross which mostly bothers me when I either exercise and I'm on the floor doing situps, etc. (because I'd rather use a bit of time to exercise than have a spotless house), or when I'm on the floor with the kids. Sometimes I do a frenzied pickup because I can't take the mess anymore. However, if 3y/o DD sees me cleaning the magnatiles or blocks she's dumped all over the floor, she'll have them back on the floor and after I spent 15 minutes picking them up and hunting them under the furniture. Live and let live, and watch a TV show and drink some wine.
