+1.  I only learned about that festival after last year's one was held, and it looks so cool! A friend lives there and she sent me some amazing pictures of it. If I went, I'd want to take the kids (the Darth Vader balloon was awesome).[/quote]

We have been there.  There are two sides to it, the nice side, corporate sponsors and doing it very nicely and then the county fair side with every fried oreo and fried twinke eating person falling over themselves drunk.  That's in the evening for the balloon glow which is often canceled due to not perfect conditions.

Go early in the morning.  like get there at 4 am and it is spectacular.  I would never go up in one and when you go see it you will know why.  Those balloons are coming down everywhere but the early morning is spectacular and bundle up it is freezing cold but warms up nicely when the sun comes up.  If you go after sunrise you missed the good part.  [/quote]
