Of the sub-top privates, it goes something like Vandy/Rice > WashU/Emory > NYU/USC > Tufts.
No USC > NYU/Tufts
agree.
Is this a joke? USC students are not as academic minded as Tufts or NYU. Likewise I’d say Tufts students are more academic than NYU although there is asuch a mix of cool talent at NYU which Tufts is lacking. Ask anyone in LA what they think of USC …
LOL what academic? USC has a very good engineering school, serious business school while still placing a huge emphasis on liberal arts education. It's Cinematic Art school actually makes a tremendous impact in the industry with alumnis like George Luka, Ron Howard (I can go on and on) who make bg donations to the school. USC has much bigger research funding and activities. USC is a nationally and internationally well recognized top school. Tuft is just a bigger version of a nice LAC doing good on Pre-Med? Nobody knows and cares about Tufts outside of the Boston area.Boston college is probably better known. Last year USC was ranked 24 and Tufts was 30. This year the raking gap happened to be narrowed, but USC has been lower to mid 20s and Tufts has been upper 20's Ask anyone in LA, it's on top of their school list. Ask anyone in the US, most of them would choose USC especially after they visit both schools. (yes my faily visited both schools last Spring)
USC has been over ranked by US news for a while. It's back to where it should be. Both Tufts and USC have it's strengths and weaknesses.
