Scout parent here. We wear masks because they help prevent the spread of COVID. We also wear masks because it a requirement of the locations where we meet. We wear masks because some parents are very cautious and we don't want to exclude kids because there are people who don't like masks.  It does help decrease the chance of getting sick.  It is not hard to do and it does not harm anyone

It’s funny how the whole scout group has to do all of this theater because a few kids have a few coronaphobic parents.  I thought the scouts was about

I teach my sons not to wear masks. We study statistics too and see the only 2 mask studies with actual control groups show they don’t work.

I teach them we don’t wear helmets riding in a car, they don’t wear condoms while walking down the street, and we don’t wear life jackets when not swimming or on a boat. Those are the rituals of neurotics who can’t read statistics or live with Powerball odds of risks in their lives. Same with masks[/quote]
