They are also used, in some cases, for protective purposes. That probably helps account for the number of dogbites annually. I would be more interested in a per capita break down of bites. Until that is done, it's kind of like comparing apples to oranges. BTW -I read once that poodles are the actually the closest (genetically) to wolves of all mainstream dog breeds. I'm still trying to picture Fifi with the painted toes as a wolf in disguise..[/quote]
