Ethnic foods come as populations diversify. Ellicott City didn’t have Asian markets when it was 90% white, and likewise, neither will Annapolis until more Asians start moving there and open businesses to attract more Asians. Schools in Annapolis don’t suck, and if ratings are really that important to an Asian family, they could move nearby to Edgewater, Severna Park, or Arnold. [/quote]

Depends my beach area there are no empty storefronts and rents are very very high. Zoning is also an issue. Only bars, burger joints, pizza places can survive. Our last Chinese restaurant went out of business 40 years ago. We have no drug stores, supermarkets, hardware store. Clothes store. doctors offices, gas stations, fast food, not even bagel place. Even if could afford rent we don’t allow customers to street park. Literally the high end restaurant. Owns a large lot to park cars two blocks away and has valet parking and folks running back and forth.

Indians, Asians, Blacks, Orthodox generally don’t like a town like this. We don’t even have a library or any daycare. The damn land is too expensive to waste

Annapolis has lovely libraries, Naval Bagel, Chinese and Indian restaurants, hardware stores, etc etc. I don’t know where you’re talking about but it’s not Annapolis. [/quote]

Also I am Asian and considering moving to Annapolis from Frederick to be by the water. My main question is the public schools - the downtown ones seem to be ranked 3/10 but I’d love to hear people’s actual experiences with them. [/quote]
