I tend to forget I have it on. I am sure people see me outdoors with it or whatever. Most of the time I have left a store and forgot I was wearing it. I eat indoors and go about my life, but I don't really notice my mask.

I did not read OP’s post as from someone who “freaks out and panics”. I do read it as from someone concerned about this area’s inability to get back to normal life, which is a legitimate concern both at a policy and a personal level. If a lot of your friends continue to be hyper cautious, it will affect your social life. Outdoor masks are one indicator of a hyper cautious attitude that everyone can monitor, even if not all instances are indicative of hyper cautiousness.[/quote]

Yeah I have a couple (formerly) close friends that are still just so isolated that I don’t know we will ever re-connect.  Saw one in the neighborhood park with her family recently and they literally ran away from us because we did not have masks on (they all had n95s).  Our kids used to be friends too.[/quote]

I don't care so much about outside but we are pretty much done with a few families given how they've behaved and its not worth the risk of us catching covid from them.  Its not worth the risks.
