People shouldn't be asked to go through both the expense of purchasing food for you and the work to prepare additional dishes to feed people who can't be bothered to 1) decide if they want to come; and 2) press the button on the screen. Yes, people are human and make mistakes. Everyone gets that. But you are rationalizing and blaming the host, rather than telling people to apologize when they make a mistake. We are also talking about trends where maybe half to 3/4 of people don't respond, or click "Maybe" or wait until the last few days to respond, etc. Societal breakdown.[/quote]
