It's not that I think schools in the South are more anti-sematic, but that some are more Christian, even if they are noted as being non-denominational schools.  We are looking mostly in the south because my daughter wants to stay reasonably close to us geographically and the academic common market may offer us some ability to use in state tuition in various neighboring states.  I am concerned because, having grown up in Ohio, but been based in MoCo for over 30 years, I had forgotten the level of religiosity that can exist, including many many many common folk who have never met a Jew. Georgia and the U.S. Air Force Academy, have reputations as being highly evangelical that make it uncomfortable to be anything other than Evangelical.  I am not looking for Jewish studies per se, but a place where a Jew does not daily have to explain or defend their faith and can find a shabbat service if they want to attend.[/quote]
