[/quote] It must really depend, because you could see the planes in a line going to DCA if you are running errands in DC downtown and from downtown parking lots I couldn't hear as much noise as from the house that's in a wooded area further from DT, but they fly in a liine, so a lot of areas along the Potomac river that are up to 2 miles in would hear it, this makes some areas of Mclean/GF/Arlington lucky enough to be far enough to avoid it. But interestingly, the most expensive huge homes on acres of land are close to that noise and apparently the owners don't care? [/quote]
