Thousands of women have worn masks giving birth during this pandemic. And they've done it for their safety and the safety of the hospital staff. OP, you'll be fine. It's just a mask. Remember - pandemic. community. > me me me me
Ah yes the old other women have done it, you can to. Unfortunately in your equation the risk is super low with vaccination and a negative test. Remember women have been giving birth in cornfields for years with no help. Just because we can doesn’t mean we should have to.
That analogy makes zero sense. The masks are to make people safer, not to harm. At this point, if you cannot do back flips in a mask I'm not sure what's wrong with you. I had major surgery this year. I had to wear a mask the entire time. Even had to wear it while in my hospital bed recovering over the next few days. It was painful and not a fun time. But masks were worn by all. I'm not feeling bad for OP here. Sorry not sorry.
I’m guessing when you had major surgery you were just lying there. Not doing an activity that’s as strenuous as running a marathon? Because that’s what OP was doing. She was in labor for 24 hours. Did you get out of breath during your surgery? I’m guessing not.
Please. We've all been in labor on this board. And you are not actively pushing and/or running a marathon for 24 hrs. OP was fine. She's just complaining. And yes, I did have to run a treadmill with the mask on to do heart/stress tests. It wasn't fun but I did it because that was hospital policy. And I didn't go whine about it on an anonymous chat board. OP had to wear a mask for the safety of others. And she's angry because the entirety of the hospital staff did not cater to her whims while she was there. My entire family works in a hospital - siblings, in laws, parent, extended family. They are F DONE with patients who can't figure out the rules 18 months on. Such BS
