Ugh. I think I'm underpaid. I'm in policy - also a director at a non profit, making $83K with a graduate degree and 14 years of experience. Do get lots of vacation and reasonable flexibility. I'm the PP who's making $120k.  I also have a grad degree.

Why be a wimp?  Life is short.  No one will value you if YOU don't value you.  I started my job 6 years ago and have asked for a raise no less than 4 times since then and have gotten one every single time.  Things won't get handed to you, you need to ASK and make a good argument why you deserve to be paid more and then rock your new salary!  You can do it!![/quote]

I agree with this PP - I am constantly surprised at how often I ask (AND RECEIVE) a raise- when I can support why it should happen.
