Your DD doesn’t drive?
Lots of kids today don't drive. It is not that unusual. 2021 is not like 1985 where every 16 year old is dying to learn.
And explains a lot about all the issues GenZ has.
I’ve noticed this also. The only two teens living on my block do not drive (18 and 19). I was DYING to get out at their age.
I’m Gen-X and grew up in suburbia and I delayed learning to drive until senior year. Got my learners permit 2 years after I was old enough to. I was scared to drive. My mom was initially supportive of me waiting, though IIRC she eventually made me inconvenience friends for rides instead of her as “encouragement” to get me motivated. I’ve now driven 14 hours solo multiple times. Not recently given work/spouse/kids. But man if I had the opportunity to take a long solo road trip I would JUMP at it.
