Moved out of state last year mainly due to APS failing to open, and our new public school class max is 20. So relieved I'm not dealing with this ongoing APS nonsense....and feel bad for parents that are. I only look back here occasionally out of curiosity but I truly never imagined it would still be bad (in different ways-expanding class sizes, no lunch spacing inside) in APS one year after we moved.

(Side note: APS could have done what it's doing this Fall with its Covid plans, LAST fall.) If anything it's dicier now with the delta variant and kids.

I'm honestly surprised at how many good people have stayed in APS despite all this. Either these boards widely exaggerate the situation and most people are happier than it seems at APS, or they just don't have the option to move.[/quote]

PP: We moved to a central Midwestern state. Don't get me wrong- I'm pro-school opening even with Delta variant, I just find it bewildering that APS couldn't get its act together last year, as if this year is completely safer. The vaccinations for adults WERE a game changer-until delta. But hopefully we will ALL weather this and the vaccines will be approved for kids soon.

I will say...having moved to the Midwest...we're running into way more skepticism about vaccines and way lower rates of vaccination for adults in our state over-all, which is driving me insane. However, we live in an urban-ish district that leans left so in our particular school district, everyone I've encountered is pro-vaccine.[/quote]
