What you need to realize is that you simply cannot control what people do. You cannot force everyone to share your low level of risk tolerance. After 1.5 years of this, people are going to live their lives, some more and some less cautiously. And not everybody who doesn’t share your risk averse mindset is a selfish asshole. People got vaccinated, kids are at relatively low risk, vaccines are widely available for the vulnerable. Hopefully people won’t go out partying maskless in Florida or wherever vaccination levels are low and spread is rampant. But short of putting an ankle brace on every kid, you won’t know if they traveled, and OSSE already knows that, they don’t need you to alert them. You also don’t know if they behave recklessly right here in the DMV. If you are uncomfortable with this lack of control, you might want to keep your kids home. Although for their sake I hope you won’t.[/quote]
