We were very conservative during the lockdown and I can say that we are certainly more relaxed now. Everyone is fully vaccinated. Kids are meeting their friends outdoors. We were getting takeouts throughout the pandemic. We are meeting family and friends who are fully vaccinated in our backyard. We are inviting vaccinated friends (2 couples max) for dinners and sitting far enough. My kids have also done sleepovers with their closest friends after strictly quarantining for two weeks - so that was very responsible and sweet. Our groceries are still online from some stores (Costco, WF, Giant) and curbside pickup (Safeway and Wegmans), but we have gone to grocery stores in person also for some ethnic or speciality stores. The reason we are getting groceries delivered is because it is a huge convenience at times and we all have become a bit lazy. I think this will continue for the foreseeable future. We always had great hygiene protocol in place before pandemic - no shoes indoors, washing hands, changing clothes when we get home etc so it was not a huge change. We have always rinsed and dried fruits and veggies before putting in the fridge, and we have always rinsed and wiped packages that go in the fridge or refrigerator too, so even that was not a huge change for us. The change that has happened due to the pandemic and that we will continue is that we are cleaning and sanitizing our fridge and freezer more often now. We don't mind masking or double masking (indoor public spaces) and we use reusable masks that we wash after every use. I think we will continue to do that for the rest of the year and certainly when schools open. We have not gone on a vacation for a number of reason - a)we were not in a mood to go anywhere with deaths in the family, b) we have other stuff going on and c) we are still being cautious. Finally, I was a person who had a cleaning lady come twice a week to my house before pandemic. During the pandemic, I got in the habit of cleaning my house myself and now I quite enjoy it. I am also saving a bundle. I might get my cleaning lady back again maybe once every two weeks but I am also really debating if I want her back? My house is really spotless because I do a much better job of cleaning myself and my kids have also become more responsible in lending a hand. DD and I have started going back to our hairdresser. Hairdresser is vaccinated and we both wear our masks. She is not allowing people to wait in the salon and no walk-ins. I am still cutting my DH's hair because he actually loves my haircuts and is looking quite dashing. I am willing to endure wearing masks and not travelling if the schools open in the Fall and remain open. I am angry about people who are jeopardizing the school openings by not being vaxxed and not masking.
