Observations:

42 casings found thus far. That was a lot of shooting for a drive by. Three people shooting, you figure that they had 15 round magazines in. They almost all expended their magazines in a brief period of time. That is hard actually, while driving in a car. Obviously demonstrates a wonton disregard for life.

The fact that the victim had been targeted before is scary. But this is the problem with trying to escape "the hood". It does not always want/let you walk away. Let's face it, construction jobs are pretty good conduits to a pathway to earning a living. The work is steady and you can move on to other jobs at the completion of the one you are on. This kid obviously had chosen to work rather than to gang bang. And yet the violence followed him. Sad.

The gunmen allegedly fired 42 rounds at a 20-year-old, who was hit three times in the leg while working 50 to 100 feet away from the other workers. His femoral artery was severed, but he survived. The other injured man was hit by flying glass.

Law enforcement sources say the victim in Thursday’s shooting was also targeted in a drive-by shooting in April on Hanna Place in Southeast.

Had not seen this. Thanks. Sometimes it is hard to escape the neighborhood. It sounds like the vic had successfully started extracting himself and then life caught up. I hope that this story turns out OK for him. I mean, where does he go now? He has had his life under Assault twice in two months. [/quote]
Usually “what goes around comes around” is how these things work. I’m curious what he did to warrant two murder attempts on his life. [/quote]
