God would have mentioned this in Genesis. He created the heaven (singular) and the earth.  I take heaven to mean everything that is out there. (And the sun on the third day don't forget. :).  On the other hand, Zeus had brothers, and the Hindus have multiple gods, so yeah, it is possible.[/quote]

Assume "the earth" means our planet, the third stone from the sun.  Does "heaven" mean everything else, all 200 billion to two trillion galaxies?  Plus all the nether regions?[/quote]

Who knows.  I took it to mean the earth is, as you said, the third rock from the sun, and "heaven" is everything else out there. Maybe the writer didn't want to take the time to say "and 200 billion to 2 trillion other galaxies."?[/quote]
