Because I assume we all want the best for our children.  No parent I know thinks “the best” is the leftovers of a failed marriage and all the emotional, financial and social fallout of that marriage when they are starting their lives. Maybe you think that’s good enough for your daughter but I hope to raise mine with a greater sense of her own worth.[/quote]
