It's a shame that after 30+ years of inclusive, appreciating diversity 'coexist' type curricula many of us have worked in the trenches to promote peaceful compatibility over the years -- how we are alike and how we are different that today's generation of teachers and leftist activists want to teach the children to hate each other. Sadly, hate is the outcome of this type of 'progressive' yet very backward, thinking.
I'm middle of the road politically and voted for Biden and Bush so I've gone both both ways and I am struck by how upset people are about CRT and other "wokeness." I mean, "peaceful compatibility" as you put it...doesn't exist. Do you really think it does? Like white people just pretend that racism isn't real and black people just keep experiencing it but we all pretend everything is ok and go on our merry way? I'm just so surprised how ok with the idea that racism isn't real people who consider themselves moderates or even liberals really are. Like you just truly think it isn't real and black people are just...making things up? Hate isn't the outcome of CRT or other "woke" agendas. Yes, perhaps the pendulum has swung too far in that direction right now but can you not understand why? Can you not just shut your mouth for a minute and be wiling to listen to someone tell you that things aren't ok? - a white person who is frightened by the pearl clutching of her supposedly liberal friends who berated her for voting for Romney but are so riled up about CRT that they can't see straight
