Crying because your 13 year old didn’t get you a gift is ridiculous, and it’s a lot of pressure on a child to make you happy. Keep going - when she’s an adult, she’ll get it. I’m pretty sure I never got my single mother a Mother’s Day gift growing up (where was I supposed to get it, and with what money?). In past years as an adult for Mother’s Day, I’ve flown home to surprise her, bought a KitchenAid mixer, and taken her on trips that week/weekend.
