My kid’s teacher at WMS said “ she isn’t ready yet but may come in 1 month”. That doesn’t sound like she doesn’t have a choice. Another 30 yr old teacher said”‘it’s best for my family “. She has had access to the vaccine. Clearly, they have a choice. My kid can already sense the teachers don’t give a crap. In no other profession you would see this type of unprofessional behavior. By definition, teachers should be dedicated to their students. I wish these types of teachers just would quit and make room for people who care about this noble profession.
Your kid "can already sense the teachers don't give a crap" because that is what you are telling your kid. Shame on you.
Yup. They love to say ad nauseum how they "pity" kids whose families choose DL, but we pity the kids having their minds poisoned by venomous mothers.
I’m a teacher. Some parents have really done their children a disservice by acting like distance learning is the worst thing that will ever happen to them. I hope they’re right, but if not... it’s setting them up poorly. It certainly has been challenging in that it has required new skills, but some parents have literally allowed their kids to throw in the towel. How does playing video games all day instead set them up for success?!
