[/quote] Many of us are not doing this. I HATE giving a kid an F but I also go to the ends of the earth to help and support so if they can’t get to a D with all that, they need much more. I cannot help them access those supports and interventions and credit recovery if I lie and give them a D. It might make me temporarily feel better, oh, I didn’t fail a kid, but we know the counties will only be able to provide targeted support and remediation to the kids who failed multiple quarters. I cannot take away their chance to qualify for that help by assuaging my own conscience to give a D. [/quote]
