In Indianapolis itself, you have the norther suburbs which are pretty affluent, the city core which has a mix of young professionals and urban poor (often minorities), and the southern suburbs which are pretty Confederate. The rural southern part of the state trends more racist than the rural northern part of the state, but the rural parts still have a lot in common. Then you have smallish, formerly industrial cities scattered around with maybe a mix of what you'd see in Indianapolis, but on a smaller scale. [/quote]
