Do you honestly believe that we were at risk of the government falling?  Because of crazy people who weren’t organized enough to mount any sort of ‘revolution’?  I honestly condemn every person who engages in violence.  So I abhorred the “peaceful protests” in the summer (with police precincts burning and loss of life) and I certainly abhor the actions taken on 1/6 = truly vile and disgusting!
I’m just consistent, which apparently is a rarity these days.

The only reason the mob didn't get to Pence is due to the heroics of Officer Eugene Goodman.

And the cop who was beaten with the American flag, who was overpowered by a mob and while he was lying on the ground, they debated whether he should be "killed with his own gun," said one of the reasons he didn't fire for his own safety when he had the chance is because they knew that MANY members of the mob were armed and they had been taking guns off them all day.

So spare us with the minimizing
