Healthy kids playing basketball without masks on surrounded by adults with masks on sounds safer than adults sitting around eating and drinking indoors without masks surrounded by masked waiters (but the second activity has been allowed in VA for months).
Not OP and I don't have an issue but you're assuming the kids are healthy. They can be asymptomatic.
It's possible. So what? People can choose to assume that risk, or not.
"So what?" Your asyptomatic kids can spread it to others, you jerk. Selfish, selfish, selfish.
The only people my asymptomatic child would be spreading covid to would be people who also signed their kids up to play basketball. He wears masks in public and public schools have given up for the whole year. Our family has done our fair share of sacrificing for the common good.
Oh, ok, so just those people! Got it. Nothing to see here! *eye roll*
Sounds reasonable to me. Those people are also comfortable with the risk. Why are you so angry?
Not PP but how do you know they're comfortable with the risk? Maybe they signed up thinking the league would follow FCPS rules. I know we did and we were ready to pull our 3 from rec league when I saw this thread. I ended up emailing the head of our league and they informed me the county is requiring masks so we're staying. But had the league agreed to allow practice and games without masks we would not have let our kids play
