Not sure this is the right forum... but anyone else having this issue? I can’t find ANYTHING for under $900 that is between 19-23” high for my kids that is decent looking. I might end up buying one of those junky adjustable desks they use in schools and then giving them away when they go back to school. Why is this so hard? I have a 5 year old and a 7 year old. There doesn’t appear to be anything between toddler furniture and adult furniture. Please recommend something you like that isn’t IKEA — they only have 2 suitable and they are either too babyish or just too much the white junky furniture look). I don’t even need it to have storage, just a nice, simple wooden table 20” high and 20-25” deep would be great.
Since I'm hoping the DL thing won't last forever, why wouldn't you just buy something from IKEA that you don't love and then junk it when you're done, since it doesn't sound like having a desk for your kids was the plan anyway? We turned a room in our house into an office because my husband and I are both working from home for the foreseeable future and although the rest of our house is nicely decorated, we got an IKEA desk and chair for that room because it won't be an office forever.
