OMG this makes me want to scream!! To the people thinking this is just someone spinning a story.... Hey maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but I can ABSOLUTELY see the crazy controlling self-appointed family planner/aunt from my ex-in law family trying to bully the family into doing something ridiculous like this just so she'd have an audience and could control everyone for a big holiday . Heck part of me thinks it IS about her. 🤢 I'll never forget our big epic family reunion trip that she expertly planned where 27 people flew to middle of nowhere Texas to all cram into a 3 bedroom cabin with one working bathroom.
OMG. Do spill more details. Did you all really stay at the cabin or did you have to scramble for a place to stay?
We all crammed in. One couple that had small children got one of the bedrooms, the Aunt and her husband got one bedroom, and the remaining bedroom was a room of like 4 sets of double bunk beds that some couples crammed into. Everyone else was all "assigned" by crazy Aunt to sleep on a big screened in porch that had a bunch of pull out couches etc. Some were just foldout chairs. This was also the main hangout room for the group so we had no privacy ever and had to wait until hanging out/drinking for the night was finished before we could pull out our "beds". When we arrived, dear Auntie was already there and had made an enormous pot of soup, which she stated was supposed to get us all "through the weekend". The group promptly ignored her and a bunch of us crammed into one of rental cars to go load up at the local grocery. She kept insisting the soup would be "fine" as we left.
