And again the AEMers are acting like Symone walks on water because she posts on AEM. Now they’re attacking the other 2 candidates for not engaging on there while once again claiming that poor Symone has been attacked by high profile agitators within the Arl Dems. What does that even mean? Now some AEM poster is challenging them to respond to her on there or she will vote for Symone. Maybe they just realize what a dumpster fire AEM is and they want to stay more than 6 feet away from it? With all the Open Schools Now and Keep Schools Closed fanatics, I think it shows good judgment from CDT and Priddy to stay away and that’s part of the reason I voted for them.
I was tempted to leave AEM lurk mode and point out that Symone’s engagement on AEM is exactly why many people won’t vote for her. And if I recall correctly, the poster mentioned above said that “we” will vote for Symone. As in, I assume, all of AEM.
The poster can count me out. Why would she try to run in the caucus and then denounce it afterward? She's too inconsistent, and her people attack when she's called out. They remind me of Trump supporters.
1000 times this. She tried very hard to run in the dem caucus that she and her supporters now denounce as so undemocratic and marginalizing. IMO, she demonstrated tremendous hubris. I don't believe for a second that she didn't know about the Hatch restrictions, but she didn't think anyone would call her out on it, especially as a Black female candidate. Now, she's inconsistent about her view of that same caucus process and once again hoping people won't notice or care enough to call out her hypocrisy. I would like to know from her whether, if allowed due to a change in federal law or change in employment, she would ever run in the Dem caucus when running for SB, and I would like to know why she attempted to run in it in the first place if she thought it was so awful. I'm sure it's because she knew she'd lose if she didn't have the backing of the Dem party, especially in a presidential election year. So, in other words, she probably was trying to run in the caucus because that's how the game is played in Arlington -- the same sentiment for which her vocal supporters are criticizing Priddy for stating during a recent debate.
Yup. She did not criticize the Dem party back when she tried to seek the endorsement. Not one peep. And weird that she criticizes the Dems in Arlington when it's the federal Hatch Act that prevented her from seeking the endorsement. The Arl Dems had nothing to do with her having to pull out. That's between her, her employer and the law. (I have nothing to do with the Arlington Dems by the way. Just an onlooker.) How does a lawyer not know that the Hatch Act prevents you from seeking the endorsement of a political party? This is common knowledge in these parts. Either SW is stupid or doesn't mind skirting the law. Not sure which one but I don't want either on our school board.
