Is the AG the sheriff's boss? Does he have authority over the sherriff?
And, if the sheriff was in his personal car, it makes sense that he might not have had a flashlight with him.
But, the next day, why did the AG return to the scene? He needed to tetuen the sherrif's personal car, yes, but why did the AG drive (with his friend in another car?) to the scene? And how is it that the AG discovered the body? 
Then, after discovering the nody, why did he mot call 911? Why did he drive to the sheriff's house to report the body?
And why, o, why did the sheriff tell the AG to leave, and say he would handle the investigation?? Why did he mot wait for state triopers and accident incestigators to arrive?
Clearly, it seems to me, the AG got special treatment. Whether he knew he hit a person, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure he knew he was in deep doo doo as soon as he saw the man's body. That's where the coverup hegan, IMHO. [/quote]
