You’re correct, the proud boys aren’t “white supremacists”. They are alt-lite. They are misogynistic, anti-transgender, anti-Muslim, and anti-immigration. Their members have a propensity for violence. And Trump just told them to get ready for a fight.

First, I am not defending the proud boys.
But if you look at what they specifically stand for, it’s not white supremacy. Many of the members are white supremacists. There is a difference.
They are white. They are misogynistic. They are anti-Islam and anti-immigrant.
I am a Democrat, but I do not support antifa. But many (most?) Antifa activists are democrats. That does not mean all Democrats are antifa.[/quote]
