Can't do this now, but go drive by the student parking lot when full class is in session. You will see what your future looks like.
For the most part it is a hand me down car from Mom or Dad.
I guess that's how you distinguish between the rich and the merely quite affluent. The rich give their teenagers fancy new cars; the merely quite affluent give their teenagers a fancy hand-me-down car from Mom or Dad.
+1 I get that it's all relative, but lots of people in Potomac live in a bubble and don't understand that a hand-me-down nice car is still considered "affluent". Our HHI is about $300K, and we are definitely upper middle class. But, I grew up lower income, couldn't afford a car in HS, so my perspective is a bit different than people who have never been anything other than upper/middle class. If that's all they know, then they probably think it's "normal". But, it really isn't. When we were moving to the area, we did look in the Churchill cluster. We actually looked as for north as QO, down to Kensington. We settled somewhere in the middle and decided that the best thing for our kids was to be somewhere that was not mostly rich kids or mostly poor kids. All schools have issues, but rich schools have affluenza issues that we did not want our children to be around.
