But many 2021 students already took it prior to March closings.

Many kids want to take it twice, and many, many kids were planning to take their first test in April. Just because your kid got one in doesn't mean they should be given any sort of priority.[/quote]

Having a decent score is definitely a good thing. But test optional schools have said that kids who don't submit a scores won't be considered unfavorably and it won't hurt their chances of admission. I hope this is true.[/quote]

Test optional means they will scrutinize other parts of application even more.

If you’re a 2021er, and you needed that test score to “boost” your overall application? You’re at a disadvantage because there are a number of kids who already tested prior to March. Odds are, some got a decent score. [/quote]

I know and I'm sad for my student who tests really well but may never get to take the SAT/ACT at all.[/quote]
