I hope it does go through so this dumb ass ^^ that knows exactly what US soccer will and wont do can eat his dumb ass words. Shut the hell up and offer some real feedback and stop cutting people down with your stupid one line remarks.

I’d welcome the change back to align with the soccer season (August - May) which happens to be the school calendar year . I have a U11 player. She will be 10 throughout the entire u11 season. What’s the point of playing u11 when she’ll never be 11 on a u11 team? The four months (Aug-Sept) at U9 -U13 makes a huge difference as far as size, speed, and maturity.
You are dumb

It doesn’t affect my kids. But U11 means “under 11” which is different than 11. You are dumb if you think U11 means 11 when it means never older than 11.
My kid started U9 Fall season the month before he turned 9. It did not used to mean this BEFORE the change to birth year. It used to mean “9 and under”. Like pp, I have a U15 that just turned 14 2 weeks ago and will be playing U15 at 14 the entire Fall season. The most negative aspect for us (besides having 1/2 the team play HS while he’s in 8th) is moving to the LATE practice times during MS when he has to be out the door by 6:50am. If it were still calendar year he would be getting home at 8:45pm instead of close to 10pm.
School start times vary across counties. Some county middle school start times are not until after 8:00am. The world doesn’t revolve around your situation.
Hmmm...seeing 98% of the kids at our big county club are in the same county public system and the CLUB sets the practice times—-yes, it does. If the Clubs responded accordingly (which talking to friends in 3 other local counties—they have not) it would be okay.
